Today, the President of Turkmenistan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, within the framework of the events in honor of the 30^th anniversary of the sacred independence, took part in the ceremony of awarding state awards to members of the State Security Council, grading hikes and qualification classes. During the event, the leader of the nation was bestowed the medal “Türkmen edermen” and the jubilee medal “Garaşsyz Türkmenistanyń Watan goragçysy”.

Addressing the members of the State Security Council, the nation’s leader noted that yesterday the glorious anniversary of the sacred independence of permanently neutral Turkmenistan was marked with great celebrations. A parade of military and law enforcement personnel of the country took place on the square in front of the modern complex of the State Tribune. Our compatriots also took part in it, who demonstrated great progress.

The national Leader congratulated the members of the State Security Council and all the personnel of the military and law enforcement agencies who took part in the solemn review on the successful holding of the military parade, which demonstrated the high level of defense capability of our Motherland, providing all branches of the armed forces with modern military equipment, including airplanes, helicopters.

Then, addressing the participants of the celebration, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that on the occasion of the 30^th anniversary of the sacred independence, as well as taking into account the holding of a solemn military parade at a high level, members of the State Security Council, as well as military personnel and employees of military and law enforcement agencies are presented state awards.

In this regard, the nation’s leader continued, taking into account the great merits in strengthening and protecting state sovereignty, strengthening defense capability in accordance with the defensive Military doctrine, ensuring the security of the country and the well-being of citizens, maintaining law and order, educating defenders of the Fatherland in the spirit of courage and patriotism, as well as personal contribution to the organized military parade on the occasion of the 30^th anniversary of the independence of the Motherland, the jubilee medal of Turkmenistan “Garaşsyz Türkmenistanyń Watan goragçysy” is awarded to members of the State Security Council, as well as military personnel and employees of military and law enforcement agencies, and they are also bestowed military and special ranks, qualification classes.

Then the Chairman of the Mejlis of Milli Gengesh G.Mammedova, having read the Resolution of the Mejlis of Milli Gengesh on awarding the medal “Türkmen edermen” and the jubilee medal “Garaşsyz Türkmenistanyñ Watan goragçysy” to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, presented the corresponding state awards to the leader of the nation.

Then the Head of State awarded the members of the State Security Council with the jubilee medal “Garaşsyz Türkmenistanyń Watan goragçysy” and awarded the next military and special ranks.

The Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov handled jubilee medal “Garaşsyz Türkmenistanyń Watan goragçysy” and a commemorative sign - the national manat “Altyn şaý” to the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Secretary of the State Security Council, Lieutenant General Ch.Amanov. The Deputy Prime Minister, Secretary of the State Security Council was also awarded the military rank of Colonel-General.

The Deputy Head of the Government, Secretary of the State Security Council, gratefully accepted the award, swore allegiance to the military oath, eternal devotion to the Motherland and readiness to selflessly stand guard over the peaceful and creative life of the people.

Then jubilee medal and a commemorative badge – the national manat “Altyn şaý” was awarded to the Minister of Defense, Major General B.Gundogdyyev. By the decree of the President of Turkmenistan, the head of the defense department was awarded the military rank of Lieutenant General.

The Minister of Defense gratefully accepted the award and swore allegiance to the military oath, selfless devotion to the Motherland, the people, and the President of the country.

Then the jubilee medal “Garaşsyz Türkmenistanyń Watan goragçysy” and the commemorative badge – the national manat “Altyn şaý” were awarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs O. Khojanyazov. The Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, accepting the award with gratitude, swore an oath of loyalty, eternal devotion to his native Fatherland, the people and the President of Turkmenistan and readiness to selflessly stand guard over peaceful and creative life.

Then the Prosecutor General B.Atdayev was awarded the jubilee medal “Garaşsyz Türkmenistanyń Watan goragçysy” and a commemorative badge – the national manat “Altyn şaý”. The Prosecutor General, gratefully accepting the award, pronounced the oath of loyalty, selfless devotion to the Motherland, the people, the President of the country.

In accordance with the Decree of the Head of Turkmenistan, the Chairman of the Supreme Court G.Ussanepesov was awarded the jubilee medal “Garaşsyz Türkmenistanyń Watan goragçysy” and a commemorative sign – the national manat “Altyn şaý”. The head of the department, gratefully accepting the award, swore an oath of loyalty, eternal devotion to the Motherland, assuring that he would continue to fulfill his sacred duty with honor.

Then the Minister of National Security G.Annaev, gratefully accepting the jubilee medal “Garaşsyz Türkmenistanyñ Watan goragçysy” and the commemorative sign – the national manat “Altyn şaý”, handed to him by the leader of the nation, pronounced the military oath.

The head of the Security Service of the President of Turkmenistan, D.Meredov, who was awarded the jubilee medal “Garaşsyz Türkmenistanyñ Watan goragçysy” and a commemorative sign – the national manat “Altyn şaý”, gratefully accepted the award, pronounced the oath of loyalty, selfless devotion to the Motherland, the people, the President of the country.

Chairman of the State Border Service Ya.Nuriyev, gratefully accepting the jubilee medal “Garaşsyz Türkmenistanyn Watan goragçysy” and the commemorative sign – the national manat “Altyn şaý”, handed to him by the leader of the nation, pronounced the oath of loyalty, selfless devotion to the Motherland, the people, the President of the country.

The head of the Ministry was also awarded the qualification class of the State Adviser of Justice of the 3^rd class.

Accepting the award with gratitude, the Minister took the oath of allegiance to the military oath, eternal devotion to the Motherland and readiness to selflessly stand guard over the peaceful and creative life of the people.

During the ceremony, the jubilee medal “Garaşsyz Türkmenistanyń Watan goragçysy” and a commemorative badge – the national manat “Altyn şaý” were presented to the Chairman of the State Customs Service, Lieutenant Colonel M.Khudaikulyev, who was also awarded the military rank of colonel in accordance with the Decree of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Having gratefully accepted the award, the head of the Service swore an oath of loyalty, selfless devotion to the Fatherland, the people, and the President of the country.

Further, the jubilee medal “Garaşsyz Türkmenistanyń Watan goragçysy” and the commemorative badge – the national manat “Altyn şaý” were awarded to the Chairman of the State Migration Service, Lieutenant Colonel N.Atagarayev, and according to the Decree of the head of state, he was awarded the military rank of colonel. The Head of the Service gratefully accepted the award and pronounced a sacred oath.

A.Khudaiberdiyev (the Security Service of the President of Turkmenistan), who was awarded another military rank, took the oath of allegiance to the military oath, eternal devotion to the Motherland and readiness to selflessly stand guard over the peaceful and creative life of the people.

Then, on behalf of the entire personnel of the country’s military and law enforcement agencies, a commemorative gift was presented to the head of state on the occasion of the 30^th anniversary of sacred independence.

Addressing compatriots and members of the State Security Council, the President of Turkmenistan noted that the presentation of the medal of Turkmenistan “Türkmen edermen”, the jubilee medal of Turkmenistan “Garaşsyz Türkmenistanyen Watan goragçysy” to him on the occasion of the 30^th anniversary of the sacred independence is perceived as an award to our people.

At the end of the event, the President of Turkmenistan once again congratulated the heads of military and law enforcement agencies with state awards, regular military ranks and qualification classes.

Noting the high organizational level of the anniversary events, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished all participants of the celebration great success in responsible service for the prosperity of the Motherland and the happiness of the people.
