Today President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has held a working meeting with participation of Minister of Justice (Adalat) B. Mukhamedov, devoted to issues of further development of national legislation in the context of fulfilment of instructions which were earlier given by the leader of the nation at the meeting of the State Security Council.

During the meeting the head of Turkmenistan noted that formation of legal bases of large-scale reforms acts as a priority of the state strategy realized in the present period.

In this context, the report of Minister of Justice B. Mukhamedov who informed on the work directed to consecutive realization of the uniform state policy in development of standards and law-enforcement practice for ensuring reliable protection of constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens, rule of law was heard.

The report on the conducted preparation of proposals on modernization of legislative base of the country, in particular development of new drafts of legal acts on the basis of systematic monitoring of current legislation was also delivered.

Summarizing the report, the head of state pointed out that in the light of globalness of process of technological modernization in the energy sphere coordination activity which is capable to intensify competitiveness in various branches of economy in the region and around the world is carried out optimally. In this context, the leader of the nation emphasized need of development of legislative mechanisms directed to protection of interests of our country.

Turkmenistan actively participates in international cooperation which is carried out by the World Health Organization in the field of protection of public health, considering it as one of the perspective vectors of state policy, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said. It demands continuation of work on improvement of legislation in the health sector and in the field of counteraction to such general threat as the global pandemic, the leader of the nation stated.

In this regard, the head of state placed a particular emphasis on importance of preparation of necessary legal measures in the field of trade and transport policy for safeguarding of e national interests connected with successful realization of state programs on increase of export potential of Turkmenistan and creation of transport corridors.

Development of legislative bases for active cooperation with the regional economic and financial organizations for development of national economy was mentioned among priorities.

At the same time, importance from now of efficient interaction with authoritative international structures, including with the UN Development Program (UNDP), UN Population Fund and International Organization for Migration, UN Children's Fund (UNICEF), the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, International Committee of the Red Cross was stated. The head of state also emphasized need of study of issue of accession of Turkmenistan to conventions of the International Labour Organization, the Framework agreement on trade cooperation of the Economic Cooperation Organization.

Among perspective vectors activities for creation of the International commercial arbitration centre at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan for formation of non-governmental international commercial arbitration courts for involvement of internal and external investors, based on world practice were defined.

The leader of the nation disposed to establish a training centre of jurists for rendering high-quality legal aid to citizens, effective and reliable protection of the rights and legitimate interests of natural and legal entities, and also to improve access to applications of the One Window technology which is applied in practice of economically developed states of the world and neighbouring countries.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the main goal of the policy of transformations is ensuring high rates of social and economic development of the country. In this context, all efforts have to be made on development of the laws urged to promote harmonious development of the state, society and each citizen.

The large-scale activity being carried out should be directed to the strengthening and modernization of legislative sphere, providing peace and friendship, strengthening of effective cooperation with international organizations and various states, the leader of the nation said, having noted that achievement of full legal regulation on a complex and systematic basis has to become one of the main objectives in the forthcoming years, and gave the corresponding instructions.
