One of the priority directions of the constructive foreign policy of independent neutral Turkmenistan initiated and consistently realised by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is strengthening and expansion of fruitful cooperation with neighbouring countries in the region with peoples of which Turkmen people share common cultural and spiritual values, historically developed bonds of friendship and mutual support.

The third Consultative meeting of heads of the states of Central Asia, a concert of art and culture workers of five countries and a number of other creative actions held in Avaza national tourist zone became another acknowledgement of an important role of cultural diplomacy in further development of interstate relations. Held with big success, they reflected aspiration of independent neutral Turkmenistan into new heights of friendly relation with neighbouring states of the region.

Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Sadyr Japarov, Emomali Rahmon and Shavkat Mirziyoyev, participants of the Dialogue of Women, Economic forum, and the International exhibition of national products and the International festival of national dishes of the countries of Central Asia became honourable spectators of the bright representation.

With the open scenic platform of Avaza which has time and again served as a venue of national and international festivals and set of other large scale cultural events, in different languages warm greetings and kind wishes to leaders of the friendly states, all spectators, and inspired songs performed by popular actors of our country, and also Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan sounded, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan developed into a hymn of peace and unity.

The song «Leýlisaç barada rowaýat» the author of which is President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov became a remarkable gift for Turkmen nationals. Executed by Ozodbek Nazarbekov in the Turkmen language, in choreographic support of folklore group "Dokmachylar ", it sounded a fine dedication to our independent Fatherland.

With huge ovation spectators welcomed the song «Bagt nury», words and music of which also belong to the head of Turkmenistan.

Ancient dance kushtdepdi became a triumph of the concert. It combined traditions of the past and creative energy of the present organically. Being the picturesque sample of national creativity, this dance was included in the UNESCO World Heritage Representative list of intangible cultural heritage of humanity. Today it is the original card of our country and Turkmen art abroad, the integral attribute of each national holiday.

Eloquent acknowledgement actively developing in areas of culture of the international dialogue is celebration of foreign representatives of this sphere. So, during the creative meeting the honourable title «Honoured artist of Turkmenistan» for the big merits in strengthening of friendly, brotherly, good-neighbourhood and partner relations between the countries, in assistance to long-term Turkmen-Uzbek cultural-humanitarian cooperation was handed to minister of culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov, and also considering successes in development of is musical-song art and for professional skill.

The concert program into which popular melodies and songs of fraternal people entered, modern dances and folklore compositions, visually reflected humane and consolidating mission of art, having confirmed that preservation and augmentation of cultural wealth conceals inexhaustible possibilities for rapprochement of the people for the sake of peace, friendship, good neighbourhood and creation.

Under the arches of a magnificent hall in Turkmen, Kazakh, Kirghiz, Tajik and Uzbek languages the famous work by Mahtumkuli «Türkmeniň» sounded. Poetic lines: «For the toy they gathered at one tablecloth» about general unity and brotherhood, after centuries have not lost its urgency, becoming expression of peaceful disposition and tolerance of Turkmen. The poetic message to descendants was supported by a video series about historical monuments and cultural heritage of the friendly countries and the people.

Leaders of five countries agreed to develop an intercultural dialogue in interests of the people living in Central Asia, and in the spirit of the International decade of rapprochement of cultures proclaimed by the United Nations, to keep and encourage variety of cultures and international tolerance, to co-operate and render mutual support in the field of study and protection of ethno-policy, material and non-material cultural and natural heritage of region, to improve literary relations , to hold the international festivals, forums and competitions, to deepen interaction in the field of musical, theatrical, graphic and craft art, cinematography, television-radio broadcasting, archival, museum and library science and also to develop direct relations between citizens, first of all youth, and tourist exchanges.

With a view of giving a systematic and regular character to contacts in the given direction the sides agreed to create the Forum «Central Asia: one past and one future».

Heads of the states gave an appreciation to the solemn concert of masters of culture and art of the countries of Central Asia held on August 6 which executed the main task - assistance to propagation cultural-cultural wealth fraternal people and to perfection of creative contacts between workers of the given sphere.

Avaza national tourist zone which hosted the creative action and a solemn concert became an integral part of the multilateral dialogue between Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Similar actions serve strengthening of traditional contacts in humanitarian area, friendship and solidarity for the good of consolidation of a universal peace, trust and steady progress.
