The Day of Science, professional holiday of scientists, researchers and personnel of scientific organizations, has been celebrated in Turkmenistan on June 12.

International scientific conference “Science, Equipment and Development of Innovative Technologies”, which is dedicated to the 30^th anniversary of the country, has started its work on this occasion.

The forum has been organized by the Ministry of Education and Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.

The opening ceremony of the conference has been held in Oguzkhan Engineering and Technological University. The work of the forum has been forestalled by the exhibition of innovative technologies presenting scientific developments including developments made by the youth.

Greeting message of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to scientific community of independent neutral Turkmenistan and to participants of international scientific conference, which is held in mixed format online, has been listened with great attention.

In his message, the leader of the nation has noted that participation of scientists, professors, teachers, engineers of competent scientific and educational centers of the world in current forum visually indicates growing interest of the world community in scientific and technical policy pursued by Turkmenistan as well as in opening of new opportunities for wide international cooperation. The President of the country has also highlighted that modern knowledge and sciences are important factors of establishment of peaceful, friendly, goodwill relation for common economic, cultural and innovative progress.

Foreign participants of the forum have shared their vision of future cooperation in applied studies for solution of current scientific and technical goals.

It is worth to mention that professional holiday of scientific personnel, which was established in 2007 by the Order of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, has started productive development of science and formation of national innovative system.

This year, Turkmen scientists have presented several new developments, which include the production method of activate charcoal from licorice wastes. The authorship of scientific study belongs to the group of scientists of the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan. This technology allows producing activate charcoal in big volumes and stopping its import from foreign countries.

Research works on processing of mineral, hydromineral and hydrocarbon material are continued. One of scientists’ works is related to important part of oil chemistry – the synthesis and analysis of halogen-containing organic acids.

Photoelectrical unit and high-capacity power generator have been given as a help to scientists carrying out scientific work at Karrykul station. Modern equipment allows scientists taking care and monitoring the development and adaptation of dozens of thousands of samples of various desert plants. Using technological innovations, scientific personnel plans to increase the fertility of pastures, to lift fresh water from deep underground layers to surface.

Solving the objectives given by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to representatives of scientific circles, specialists of the country try to bring national science to fundamentally new level. The main priority in scientific studies lies within the necessity to strengthen cooperation of academic, profile and educations science. The leader of the nation has also noted that the Academy of Sciences has to provide the development of fundamental and applied studies, to expand scientific, engineering and technical potential of the society, to form national intellectual elite – the scientists of new formation, to attract talented youth to scientific activity.

Today, in the epoch of might and happiness, young Turkmen scientists as well as students of universities and secondary schools of the country actively participate in scientific contests. One of such contests is held under the celebration of the Day of Science.

All conditions have been made and continue to be made in Turkmenistan owing to attention and care of the head of the state for fur further development of scientific sphere and progress of scientific and technical potential of the country.
