XX International multi-purpose exhibitin “White City Ashgabat” dedicated to the 140^th anniversary of the capital, has been opened in the exposition center of Trade and Industrial Chamber.

Large-scale exhibition reflecting achievements and perspective plans of development of the main city of the country has presented such topical sections as urban construction and management systems, engineering networks, transport and communication, industry and social infrastructure, construction and construction materials, equipment and municipal machinery, ecology and development.

More than 90 exhibitors including representatives of foreign companies participate in current exhibition. The interest in the forum is understood and obvious. Ashgabat embodies a unique model of modern, dynamically developing city, which organically combines beauty and comfort, advanced architectural achievements, engineering and technical ideas and primordial traditions of national architecture as well as special features of traditional life of Turkmens.

Members of the government, heads and deputies of the Mejlis and People’s Council of National Assembly, representatives of profile ministries and departments, public organizations, mass media, national entrepreneurs and foreign businessmen took part in the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

Facilities of profile ministries and departments as well as Turkmen entrepreneurs and foreign companies working in Ashgabat and willing to take part in realization of initiated urban construction program demonstrated their achievements in the halls and on the grounds of exhibition center.

The content and information message of the exhibition are aimed in the first at the most required spheres of cooperation in Turkmenistan today. Construction industry, which is one of perspective and rapidly growing sectors of Turkmen economy, which raise keen interest of investors and contractors, is one of the spheres of cooperation.

Leading partners of our country Bouygues, Gap Inşaat, Rönesans, Altkom, Vozrozhdeniye, Interbudmontazh, Zeppelin Türkmenistan JV have presented models of construction facilities, innovative developments and technologies including in such directions as water supply and lighting, road construction, active leisure industry and other.

The exhibition halls of the State Concerns Türkmengaz, Türkmennebit, Türkmenhimiýa, Turkmenbashy Refinery Complex, the State Corporation Türkmengeologiýa reflect the dynamics of the growth of basic branches of national economy.

The interest of the visitors was raised by the displays of various ministries and departments of Turkmenistan like the Ministries of Industry and Construction Production, Construction and Architecture, Trade and Foreign Economic Affairs, agencies «Türkmenawtoulaglary», «Türkmendemirýollary», «Türkmenhowaýollary», «Türkmendeňizderýaýollary», «Türkmenaragatnaşyk», agricultural complex, municipal services, education and other.

Ministry of Textile Industry has presented the production of one of the leading export oriented branches.

Traditional pattern and modern handmade carpets of the State Association Türkmenhaly as well as numerous entrepreneurs and national craftsmen engaged in carpet production attracted big attention of the visitors.

Special place in the exposition is taken by the displays of agricultural complex and trade sector demonstrating the wealth and variety of quality food products.

Exhibition halls of city administration demonstrates displays of companies engaged in cultivation of tree seedlings, decoration materials and details, furniture and accessories, kitchenware and glassware. In other words, all which is included in daily life of modern city.

The displays of the Ministry of Education and higher education institutes demonstrate advanced equipment for laboratories as well as medals and diplomas of the winner of international student contests. They also provide detailed information on specialties of the universities and latest educational methods.

The Ministry of Health Protection and Medical industry presented copies of international certificates indicating the recognition of the merits of the country in elimination of number of infectious diseases, pharmaceutical production, various tools, medical protection suits and masks, natural cosmetics and other.

The exhibition has given an opportunity to learn about unique tourist potential of Turkmenistan, to get information about the trends in travel industry, organization of various holidays and cultural and education activity.

National entrepreneurs demonstrates various range of directions in their activity. The display of Turkmen State Publishing Service, which presented modern printing media, was of great interest.

Works of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, including new book “White City Ashgabat”, take deserved place on the display.

It is worth to mention that symbols of the year “Turkmenistan – Home of Peace and Trust” as well as remarkable dates – the 30^th anniversary of independence and 140^th anniversary of Ashgabat, are widely used in decoration of the displays and production of national manufacturers.

The exhibition will continue its work in the next day, relative certificates and diplomas will be awarded to the participants after the completion of the exhibition.
