By the Resolution of the Mejlis of National Assembly of Turkmenistan, President of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the People’s Council of National Assembly of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was awarded with title of Honored Citizen of Ashgabat.

As it follows from the text of the document, Turkmen leader was awarded with this title for outstanding merits and personal contribution to political, economic and cultural development of Ashgabat, achievement of new level of national architecture, formation of modern urban infrastructure as well as on occasion of the 140^th anniversary of Turkmen capital.
