President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had talks with the head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived in Ashgabat.
During a one-on-one meeting, Turkmen leader expressed condolences to the head of Tatarstan on the tragedy happened in school no. 175 in Kazan, which caused numerous human victims. In his turn, Rustam Minnikhanov expressed condolences to the President of Turkmenistan on loss of his father Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov and conveyed the words of sincere sympathy from all citizens of Tatarstan.
The head of the state has also noted the success of Russian scientists in development of the vaccine against the coronavirus and expressed gratitude to the partners from the Russian Federation for its supply to Turkmenistan.
Taking the opportunity, the head of Tatarstan congratulated the head of Turkmenistan and all Turkmen people on the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence and 140th anniversary of Ashgabat, having noted that the city has significantly changed after his last visit.
During the talks in one-on-one format and in extended delegation format, the sides have discussed the expansion of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tatarstan. Special attention has been paid to cooperation of Turkmen ministries and departments with Tatarstan’s companies such as KAMAZ OJSC, Zelenodlask Shipyard, Kazan Helicopter Plant, Tatneft, KER Holding and other companies.
Turkmen leader has voiced the willingness of Turkmen side to review the matter of procurement of KAMAZ electrical buses, which meet the requirements of ecological safety.
The head of the state has invited partners from Tatarstan to participate in big infrastructural projects in fuel and energy complex, transport and other spheres.
In addition, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has noted new major project of construction of Ashgabat City complex with administrative buildings, service facilities, residential buildings and other social infrastructure in the northern part of Turkmen capital. In this regard, it was highlighted that Turkmenistan is interested in use of advanced practice of Tatarstan in construction and provision of new complex with modern technologies.
It was mentioned that our country considers the Republic of Tatarstan as reliable and perspective partner and aims at active cooperation in wide range of directions.
It was confirmed that such cooperation meets mutual interests and complies with the strategy of Turkmen – Russian dialog.
President Rustam Minnikhanov has highlighted that Turkmenistan is a strategic partner of the Republic of Tatarstan. Activation of cooperation is supported by regular exchange of delegations and sessions of joint Working Group. The importance of steadfast dynamics of mutual trade and development of relations in scientific, educational and cultural spheres has been noted.
President Rustam Minnikhanov has invited President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to visit the Republic of Tatarstan during the visit to the Russian Federation.
After the talks, the Muftis of Tatarstan and Turkmenistan have read the prayers for the rest of the souls of Myalikguly Berdimuhamedov and victims of the tragedy in Kazan.
Further, joint motorcade of the heads of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation went to Ashgabat International Airport. Upon arrival, Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Rustam Minnikhanov have looked around the helicopter MI-17-1B made by Kazan Helicopter Plant for the Ministry of Health Protection and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan.
This is the second medical helicopter, which was received by Turkmen medics. Ansat medical helicopter of the same producer has been delivered to Turkmenistan last April.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Rustam Minnikhanov went onboard the helicopter MI-17-1B where representative of production plant has told about technical and operation features and equipment of new multifunctional aircraft.
It was informed that medical helicopter is provided with specialized equipment including defibrillators, drainage aspirator, lung ventilators, ECG units and other hardware.
In addition, it has thermal-insulating container for storage of infusions, vacuum immobilizing mattresses, intubation sets, neck fixators for adults and children, vacuum fixator, other profile tools, anti-burning materials.
Delivered to Turkmen medics, MI-17-1B helicopter is designated for provision of immediate medical assistance to the population, transportation of victims including seriously ill patients.
Saying goodbye to his guest, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has presented President Rustam Minnikhanov with a cub of Turkmen shepherd dog Akdost as a symbol of friendship and fraternity.
