Online meeting with ECO Secretary General

On January 27, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan held an online meeting with the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Hadi Soleimanpour.

Discussing the current situation and priority vectors of cooperation on the ECO platform, the meeting participants emphasized the importance of intensifying contacts against the background of global challenges.

As noted, Turkmenistan greatly contributes to the achievement of the ECO goals, initiating trade and economic, large transport and energy projects in the region.

That is vividly proved by the active position of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in the development of important spheres of the economy of neighboring Afghanistan, including such sectors as energy, transport, communications.

During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the ECO Secretary General emphasized the importance of wide cooperation in deepening regional economic integration.
