On January 12, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has reviewed new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Turkmenistan Qian Naicheng. Having expressed gratitude for the time spared for the meeting, the diplomat presented his credentials to the Head of the State and taking the opportunity, conveyed warm greetings and best wishes in New Year 2021, which was declared as International Year of Peace and Trust by special Resolution of the UN General Assembly at Turkmenistan’s initiative, on behalf of Chairman of the PCR Xí Jìnpíng. Having expressed gratitude for warm words, the Leader of the Nation addressed return sincere wishes of happiness and prosperity to the Government and people of friendly country, having highlighted special interest of Turkmenistan in strengthening of traditionally friendly respectful relations with the countries of Asian Pacific region, in particular with China, which is strategic partner of Turkmenistan in realization of important projects of regional significance. Congratulating the diplomat on appointment to responsible post, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has wished him big success in his noble mission aimed at intensification of old Turkmen – Chinese dialog, which is efficiently built on bilateral and multilateral basis including under big competent organizations and regional structures. It was mentioned that common approaches and visions of Turkmenistan and China on important issues of the world agenda, mutual support of international beginnings and initiatives serve as a platform for further expansion of constructive cooperation established for these years in all range of directions. According to common opinion, such successful cooperation serves as significant factor of positive development of international processes, support and strengthening of peace, security and stability, provision of wealth in regional and global scale in modern conditions. Established trustful relations between President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the PRC Xí Jìnpíng have supported bringing of Turkmen – Chinese dialog to fundamentally new level. Significant number of documents signed by the outcomes of high level talks during the government visits in 2013 and 2014 has given strong impulse to traditional partnership, which has long-term and strategic character. During the meetings, special focus has been made on trade and economic relations, which have significant potential taking into account increased mutual interest. Intergovernmental Turkmen – Chinese Cooperation Committee is aimed to its efficient implementation. Successful implementation of grandiose project – the construction of transnational pipeline, which is used for delivery of billions of cubic meters of valuable energy material from Malay Gas Field located in the eastern region of the country to international Turkmenistan – Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan – China pipeline. The opening ceremony of Malay Gas Compressor Station with production capacity of 30 billion cubic meters has been held recently in this place. It will allow increasing export of Turkmen gas, which will be transported from the left bank to Bagtiyarlyk contractual territory by two communication line, more than two times. Having expressed sincere gratitude for productive exchange of visions on wide range of subjects, which present mutual interest, Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary of the People’s Republic of China Qian Naicheng has assured that he would put all efforts for further strengthening of good relations between two countries and their friendly people.
