On announcement of 2021 as the year of Turkmenistan – Home of Peace and Trust The year of Turkmenistan – Home of Neutrality, which was announced at the initiative esteemed President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, has become a historically important year for our country. Wide celebration of the glorious 25th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan allowed making the world community aware of great success and high targets achieved by our country. Constitutional reforms carried out in the country at the initiative of esteemed President and establishment of two-chamber legislative body can be considered as important political events of 2020. This is an evidence of the unification of our nation around its National Leader and further strengthening of the foundation of the statehood on independent, permanently neutral state of Turkmenistan. It is a tradition in our country to name each year according to the modern realities, which reflects the wealth of our people, patriotic spirit of our citizens, their desire to make input to wide-scale social and economic reforms implemented in the age of might and happiness. For the short historical period relying on its neutral status, our independent country has gained valuable experience in establishment the relations with many countries of the world and competent international organizations for the sake of peace on the planet, universal security and sustainable development, beneficial and equal cooperation. The adoption of the Resolution 2021 0 International Year of Peace and Trust by the UN General Assembly at the initiative of Turkmenistan is another bright evidence of the triumph of peace-loving policy of our country. For wide propaganda and awareness of the world community about home and foreign policy of our state in the age of might and happiness, which is based on the principles of wide international cooperation, trust and friendship, marking of the glorious 30th anniversary of sacred independence, enhancement of the feeling of patriotism, love and loyalty to Turkmenistan as well as supporting initiative of esteemed President on announcement of 2021 as the Year of Turkmenistan – Home of Peace and Trust and taking into account numerous proposals received from government authorities, organizations, big public associations and citizens of our country, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan hereby resolves: To announce 2021 as the Year of Turkmenistan – Home of Peace and Trust.
