On December 21, general education schools in the Turkmen capital hosted grand ceremonies to present computers to first-grade students as New Year gifts from President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. A software program installed on the notebook computers offers a variety of learning activities and boasts three languages: Turkmen, Russian and English. The new computers are age appropriate, specifically tailored to the needs of young children and meet all health and safety requirements. In the epoch of power and happiness, the harmonious development and education of children is one of the top priority objectives, which receive special and considerable attention of the nation’s leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Modern schools, kindergartens, creative educational facilities, children’s health resorts, sports and recreation complexes, theaters, parks and leisure-time centers (now fully operational and the ones, which are currently under construction countrywide) equipped with advanced technologies serve as a vivid illustration of this. Massive efforts are being made to improve the national educational system aimed to offer young Turkmen citizens access to world-class education. Ample opportunities and favorable environments are being created in the country to help the younger generation to make impressive strides in different areas. Notably, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has been giving personal computers to first-grade students as presents since 2011. The fact that the ceremonies were attended by Mejlis deputies, representatives of educational institutions, public organizations and political parties eloquently testifies that the issues are considered a very high priority. Ayazbaba (Grandfather Frost) and his beautiful granddaughter Garpamyk (Snow Maiden), traditional participants in New Year celebrations, also attended the ceremonies and extended their congratulations to the children. The children gave spectacular performances for the guests, recited poems and sang songs dedicated to the beloved home country and the President of Turkmenistan. The first-grade students were genuinely delighted with their gifts and accepted them gratefully. The participants in the ceremonies expressed their deep gratitude to the nation’s leader for the policy of peace and creation, the provision of stimulating working and learning environments, his constant care and concern for children, and offered their warmest wishes and New Year greetings. Similar gift-giving ceremonies will take place in all schools across the country in the run-up to the New Year.
