The introduction of the national manat into circulation has created optimal conditions for the harmonious development of the national economy, pursuing the unified state monetary policy”, said President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in his congratulatory address to the specialists of the banking sector and all compatriots. According to the President of Turkmenistan, in the year declared as ""Turkmenistan - the Homeland of Neutrality"", the banking system, which is the most important segment of the national economy, has become one of the rapidly developing industries. The ongoing work to improve the reliability of the banking sector is of particular importance in the state policy. “The stability of the banking sector plays an important role in enhancing competitiveness and ensuring dynamic economic growth, its successful integration into the global system. The main tasks of this sphere are to further maintain a stable exchange rate of the national manat, expand the volume of banking services, bring their quality to the international level, and introduce advanced world experience. “At present, we continue the work to bring the legislative acts, regulating the banking system in the country in line with international standards. According to the requirements of the time, banking services are also developing. In order to speed up settlements and turnover of funds, the scale of electronic payments is expanding. Effective work is carried out to increase the financial literacy of the population and professional skills of banking sector specialists. “We will continue paying special attention to the consistent improvement of the national monetary policy, the growth of lending to the manufacturing sector of the economy, the stimulation of small industries, the increase of credit financing of the population, the improvement of the quality of banking services, and the building up of a fruitful partnership with international financial organizations”, emphasized the President of Turkmenistan in his address.
