This is a sacred concept that gives strength and energy to create and build, as well as unites and inspires. Therefore, we widely celebrate the 29th anniversary of our independence, we meet it with excellent successes, we mark it with important events”, says President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in his congratulatory address. According to the President of Turkmenistan, from the first days of independence, the Turkmen people have chosen a high goal - the establishment of a democratic, legal, secular state, civil society. The natural resources of the country are directed to national and human benefits, long-term programmes and fundamental reforms are successfully implemented in the name of the happiness and well-being of the people of the country. “In accordance with the Programme of Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan, the country continues to modernize and transfer all sectors of the economy to a digital system. We’ve launched large-scale construction of new villages and cities, large industrial enterprises equipped with advanced technologies, schools and kindergartens, residential complexes and high-speed highways, numerous cultural and social facilities. Democratic principles are gradually introduced into state and public life. Great successes are achieved in the spheres of culture, science, education and health care, in the construction, industrial, agricultural and oil and gas sectors. “Our strategy to build a comprehensively developed state, implementation of grandiose reforms that serve great and noble goals, strengthen the foundations of independence. The all-round development of our mighty country is inextricably linked with the social and living conditions of our native people. “The active foreign and domestic policy we are pursuing is aimed at ensuring the socio-economic development and building up the power of the state and achieving one of the main goals - the comprehensive strengthening of the independence of the Motherland. During the meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan held on the eve of Independence Day, we made important decisions for the further rapid development of the state, the happy life of our people, and identified priority tasks. These decisions open up new opportunities so that we, working as one team, successfully achieve all goals”, the Turkmen leader emphasizes in his address.
