Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov. Congratulating Jeyhun Bayramov on his appointment as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Deputy Prime Minister Rashid Meredov wished him success in his responsible work. During the conversation, the parties discussed the current agenda of cooperation. Mutual interest was expressed in enhancing the Turkmen-Azerbaijani partnership in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and humanitarian fields. The importance of interaction in the transport and transit sphere, taking into account the geostrategic potential of the two countries, was emphasized. Particular attention was paid to the joint efforts to counter the coronavirus pandemic and its consequences. The Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan discussed important issues of regional and international politics.
