Matters of joining of Turkmenistan to the World Trade Organization are discussed

Meeting for study of matters of joining of Turkmenistan to the World Trade Organization has been held in online format. Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Vepa Hajiyev, heads of some ministries and departments of the country took part in the session from Turkmen side. The delegation of the World Trade Organization was chaired by Mrs Maika Oshikava, the Director of the WTO Joining Department. The sides have exchanged the views on measures that Turkmenistan would take having a status of observer. It was noted that Turkmen side can use this status for detailed study of activity of the World Trade Organization as well as for preparation to the process of joining to WTO as a full member. Various aspects of cooperation between Turkmenistan and WTO have been discussed during the meeting.
