WTO Director-General: observer status will open new opportunities for Turkmenistan to integrate into the world economy

In his address, WTO Director-General Roberto Azevêdo congratulated President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on granting the observer status in the World Trade Organization to our country. “This achievement is the result of your work that you launched in January 2013 with the aim to establish official relations with the World Trade Organization. “I am sure that observer status will open up new opportunities for Turkmenistan to integrate into the multilateral trading system and the world economy. “In the future, the WTO Secretariat is ready to assist Turkmenistan in the implementation of its observer functions, as well as in preparation for membership. Negotiations. Mr. President, please accept the reassurances of my very high respect for you”, says Roberto Azevêdo in his address.
