Turkmen leader visits Presidential Ahalteke Equestrian Complex

Head of the State Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, which is currently on leave, went to Ahalteke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan where he has visited ahalteke horse, which are national pride of Turkmen people. …Riding a bicycle, Turkmen leader has come to Ahalteke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan. Taking active care of succession of traditions of our ancestors, the Head of the State treats ahalteke horses with special cordial warmth and always finds time to come and see them. Upon arrival to the complex, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov went to the stables where the Head of the State saw the dun Garlawach. Having opened the box, Turkmen leader has put on a bridle on it. Enjoying noble stature of the horse, the President tended it with care and after, took the steed from the stable and had a walk with it. Throughout the centuries, Turkmens have nurtured and developed ahalteke horses protecting their unique features. Today, national horse coaching methods are developed on modern level. Horse breeders from all over the world, which is attention is attracted by unusual beauty, intelligence, gumption and unique character of ahalteke horses, use these methods. Using wide capabilities made by the government for increment of livestock of thoroughbred ahalteke horses, Turkmen horse coaches and breeders carry out efficient work for improvement of legendary breed. These days, the glory of world famous gracious ahalteke horses has been grown. Owing to the talent and hard work throughout the centuries, our ancestors have managed to create a unique breed of racehorses and to protect their pedigree passing the skills from generation to generation. At present time, targeted work has been expanded in the country by initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for comprehensive popularization of ahalteke horses, which are national pride of Turkmen people. Modern equestrian complexes, which have been built in all regions of the country in the last years, support not only to improvement of national horse breeding industry but also to development of equestrian sports, formation of entire line of young specialists of this sphere – horse breeders, jockeys and horse coaches. After the walk, the Head of the State has brought the steed to the stable, took off the bridle, and gave some grass and water to it. After, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has prepared special mixture for the horse and fed it. Throughout long history, Turkmen horse breeders have elaborated the model of taking care of the horses and currently, actively develop the horse breeding on scientific base. The work, which is carried out for improvement of the world glory of pedigree ahalteke horses, increment of the livestock and bringing of national equestrian sport, gives positive results. Having cherished by our people throughout the centuries, ahalteke horse are unique samples of national and world culture. At present time, noble traditions of Turkmen horse breeding are deservingly continued.
