President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Having warmly greeted each other, the Presidents expressed delight with the opportunity to discuss priority subjects of interstate dialog, which is strengthened with unbreakable friendship and fraternal relations, in personal conversation. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev cordially congratulated his Turkmen colleagues on unforgettable event in his life, the 63rd birthday, having wished him strong health, wealth and big success in his large-scale activity on the highest government post. At the same time, it was highlighted that Uzbekistan pays special attention to the development of cooperation with Turkmenistan, which has achieved impressive success in all spheres under the leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Having expressed gratitude for good wishes, the Head of Turkmenistan noted that our country highly appreciates friendly relations with the Republic of Uzbekistan, which it sees as close neighbour and old reliable partner. Having stated with delight high level of trust and understanding, which is inherent to Turkmen – Uzbek dialog, the leaders of two states confirmed the presence of favourable perspectives for further intensification of cooperation in all spheres. At the same time, it was highlighted that special attention is paid to strengthening of cooperation under competent international organizations including the Commonwealth of Independent States chaired by Uzbekistan this year. The sides noted positive dynamics of development of trade and economic relations. Willingness to activate cooperation between political parties and legislative authorities, to promote direct contacts and exchanges has been expressed. The sides highlighted importance of humanitarian component of Turkmen – Uzbek relations, which are based on old spiritual and cultural relations of fraternal people, having noted that Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov was awarded with the title of Honoured Artist of Turkmenistan, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conveyed his congratulations on this event. In the end of telephone conversation, Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Shavkat Mirziyoyev exchanged the best wishes to address of each other and people of both countries.
