The Ombudsman of Turkmenistan holds online meeting with international experts in human right sphere

Video conference session on priority directions of cooperation in human right protection sphere has been held with participation of the Ombudsman of Turkmenistan and international partners. The session was organized together with the United Nations Development Programme. Acting Permanent Representative of the UNDP in Turkmenistan Natia Natzvlishvili, Regional Representative of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights in Central Asia Richard Comenda, experts of Asian Pacific Forum of national human rights institutions Roselyn Nunan and Pip Dargan. Having given high assessment to measures for democratization of society and protection of human rights, foreign experts stated interest in development of the partnership with the office of Ombudsman of Turkmenistan. The agenda of online meeting has also included the study of procedure of giving accreditation to national human right institutions in Global Alliance.
