The UN representative Office in Ashgabat hosted consultative session in online mode on development of Realization Plan of Turkmenistan National Strategy for early child development in 2020 – 2025 with the UN Children Fund. This strategy was developed in close cooperation with the UN Development Programme and UNICEF and approved by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov last December. Its practical implementation was given to Interdepartmental Commission for provision of fulfilment of international obligations of Turkmenistan in human rights and international humanitarian law. Monitoring system and implementation of new National Strategy for early child development, which is to be a part of the Country Programme of Cooperation between the Government of Turkmenistan and UNICEF in 2021 – 2025, have been discussed during the session.
