Implementation of the EU Strategy for Central Asia is the subject of multilateral online meeting

Online meeting was held between European Union Foreign Department Secretary General Helga Schmidt with deputy foreign ministers of Central Asian countries. Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Vepa Hojayev took part in the session. European vector is one of the main direction of foreign course of our country. at modern stage, relations between Turkmenistan and EU, which are based on the principles of equality, observation of national interests and international standards, allow developing multilateral fruitful dialog. Having discussed realization of agreements reached earlier under new EU Strategy for Central Asia, the participants of the meeting highlighted mutual interest in expansion of traditional political and diplomatic, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian relations, which meet common objectives including joint efforts for combating against coronavirus pandemic.
