Aspects of activation of Turkmen – German cooperation discussed at online meeting

The Foreign Ministry hosted online meeting with Board Chairman of the Eastern Committee of German Economy Oliver Hermes and Executive Director of this Structure Michael Harms. It was highlighted that Turkmenistan and Germany have big mutual interest in intensification of cooperation in trade and economic sphere, which is indicated by fruitful contacts between Turkmen business circles and big representatives of German business. Fuel and energy complex, heavy engineering, transport and logistics, agriculture, construction industry and number of other industrial branches have been highlighted among priority directions of the partnership. At the same time, the growth of innovative component of Turkmen economy, which is stimulated by favourable investment climate for foreign companies, has been noted. Productive relations in educational, scientific and health protection spheres were separate subject of discussion.
