The next, 8th volume of selected works of Turkmen leader Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov -“Towards New Heights of Progress”, is released in the Turkmen and Russian languages. Key-note speeches, scientific articles, interviews, welcome addresses of the head of Turkmen state for 2014 are placed in the chronological order in the book prepared for publishing by the Central Archive of the President of Turkmenistan. The edition is prefaced with a brief analytical review “Creative energy of the nation in the epoch of power and happiness”, which highlights the landmark events in the socio-political life of the Turkmen people, key trends of the foreign policy course, and the constructive international initiatives fully supported by the global community of nations. One of the sections of the preface -“Our Arkadag-Hero – a creator of a new epoch”, reveals the essence of the strategic policy of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov – the author of scientifically grounded and comprehensively deliberate policy, based on the application of laws of social development in the process of public management. A significant part of the publication is devoted to the results of the economic policy of the nation’s leader, main purpose of which is transformation of Turkmenistan into the industrially developed state. Special attention in the publication is paid to the enhancement of Turkmenistan’s role in the world policy in 2014, which was rich in international events. To a large extent, the achievements of our state are associated with successful implementation of foreign-policy strategy based on the principles of neutrality, the status of which has been delegated to the Turkmen state by the Community of Nations in 1995. In general, the 8th volume of selected works of the President of Turkmenistan includes 96 works of the nation’s leader devoted to the issues of economic, social and cultural policy, as well as to the principles, forms and methods of public management of the national economic complex, systematic improvement of activity of administrative institutions. The publication is of theoretical and practical value in terms of further development of various scientific disciplines, especially politology, social science, history for the purpose of objective coverage of grandiose transformations occurring in the country. The volume of the selected works authored by President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedovand issued by the Printing Center of the Turkmen State Publishing Service is concluded with a selection of photographic materials of the most significant events of 2014.
