Member of the Executive Committee of the Euronews news channel, Chief Business Development Director Roland Nikolaou, arrived in Turkmenistan on a working visit. Increasing productive cooperation in the field of broadcasting, strengthening contacts with major world TV companies, including Euronews, broadcasting in 13 languages in 160 countries, is one of the important directions of the foreign-policy strategy of peacekeeping and creation, implemented by independent neutral Turkmenistan. In this direction, in our country much attention is paid to the study and implementation of advanced international experience, modern information technologies, and training of professional personnel. The visit of the Euronews representative to our country is considered in the context of the work carried out in the field of information policy in order to further improve the activities of national media. A wide range of issues on the development of cooperation in such areas as the preparation of information materials using advanced broadcasting technologies and the exchange of experience were discussed during the meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the State Committee for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography. The guest expressed great interest in the large-scale work launched in our country to cover the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the neutrality of Turkmenistan. They discussed the possibilities of covering the upcoming major sports events in our country, and also considered the possibility of exchanging experience in the preparation of materials related to history and culture. During his stay in our country, the representative of Euronews got acquainted with the expositions of the capital's museums and the sights of Ashgabat.
