The Mejlis has adopted the Resolution on declaration of 2020 as a year of “Turkmenistan – Home of Neutrality” The document highlights that December 12, 1985 is a remarkable date in historical chronicle of Turkmenistan. Our country is a state, which neutral status has been recognized two times by relative Resolutions of the united Nations General Assembly and December 12 has been announced by the UN General Assembly as International Neutrality Day by initiative of Turkmen leader. For propaganda of big projects and historical programmes aimed at prosperity of the country, strengthening of economic power, improvement of life conditions of people, explanation of meaning on large-scale changes, home and foreign policy of the state, international initiatives as well as to mark the 25th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan and to support initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on announcement of 2020 as a year of “Turkmenistan – Home of Neutrality”, the Mejlis has decreed to announce 2020 as a year of “Turkmenistan – Home of Neutrality”, - the Resolution of National Parliament says.
