Flowers laying ceremony to the monument of the first President of Turkmenistan Saparmurat Niyazov took place in “10 Years of Independence” park of the capital. Early in the morning, representatives of the Mejlis, clergy, public organizations, honoured elders, students and numerous residents of the capital have gathered at the square in front of the park. Beautiful wreath of flowers, which were laid to the pedestal of the monuments of Saparmurat Niyazov, were the tribute to the memory and respect of one of the outstanding sons of Turkmen nation, who made big contribution of the establishment of independent Turkmen states and recognition of the status of permanent neutrality of the country by the world community.
