Today, people of independent neutral Turkmenistan and the world community mark International Neutrality Day. Flower laying ceremony to the Monument of Neutrality took place on occasion of the event with participation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. In the morning, numerous residents of the capital and foreign guests have gathered at the magnificent Monument. The speaker of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and departments, deputies of National Parliament, ambassadors of Turkmenistan to foreign countries, heads of diplomatic missions and accredited in our country, businessmen as well as representative of public organizations, mass media, elders and student are among the participants of the ceremony. The participants greeted enthusiastically President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Turkmen leader went to the Monument of Neutrality, on the way to which soldiers of the Guard oh Honour have lined up. National anthem was played. In the solemn atmosphere, the Head of the State laid wrath to memorial slab, which is installed at the pedestal of the Monument. Following the President, the Speaker of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Minister and other participants of the ceremony laid flowers to the Monument. As is known, coming 2020 will be marked by important date –the 25th anniversary of neutral status of Turkmenistan, which is recognized by the UN. Preparation to the anniversary, which would be celebrated on high organizational level, has been started already. In general, implementing steadily its permanent neutral status, Turkmenistan is involved more actively to global processes making significant input to development of fruitful international dialog for peace and progress. After the ceremony, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said warm goodbye to the participants and left the place of event. Celebration activities, dedicated to International Neutrality Day, were held in all regions of the country.
