Presentation of Arabic translation of the second volume of book of the President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Turkmenistan – the Heart of the Great Silk Road” was held in the conference hall of International University of Humanitarian Studies and Development. Representatives of the Centre of Scientific Relations and Studies of Saudi Arabia, members of diplomatic corps of Turkmenistan to the Kingdom, professors, lecturers and students of the University, personnel of the Academy of Sciences of the country, political scientists, mass media took part in the event. The book of the Head of the state, which first volume was published in 2017, is very popular among the readers inside the country and abroad. The work, which reveal the uniqueness of the Silk Road not only as a trade route that connected to part of the continent but also as a historical event, give impartial assessment of centuries-old way of Turkmen nation, its priceless contribution to the world scientific, economic and cultural progress. Head of the Centre of Scientific Relations and Studies of Saudi Arabia, Professor Yahya Bin Mahmoud Junaid noted that this book is not specialized edition presenting interest only for scientific circles. The work of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov is a comprehensive source of impartial information about the Silk Road and a geographic strategic location of Turkmenistan, development of entire region, relation of people with surrounding world. Today, Turkmenistan carefully preserves and honours rich heritage of the centuries. Translation of the book into Arabic language opens our country for huge reading auditorium of the Arab world, which now has an excellent opportunity to improve its knowledge about rich history and unique culture of Turkmen nation and its spiritual values. Publishing of new edition is an important event in development of Turkmen – Arabic relations. Recently, humanitarian dialog, which supports strengthening of friendship and understanding between two nations, has been significantly activated. The relations in scientific and education, cultural and tourism spheres are intensified. The Day of Culture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Ashgabat and Mary in April this year, which introduced multifaceted art of this friendly country and its music traditions to Turkmen citizens, are good example for this. Our scientist also work productively together based on bilateral agreements. Representatives of the Academy of sciences of Turkmenistan visit Saudi Arabia for participation in the forums, exchange of practice and improvement of cooperation. Study of Arabic language in Magtumguly Turkmen State University and D. Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages are important indicators of successful partnership in educational sphere.
