On the week bygone, the Turkmen capital hosted Days of Culture of the People’ Republic of China. The delegation that arrived in Turkmenistan included the leaders of the PRC Chinese National Association of Workers of Literature and Art, the Association of Acrobats of China, Associations of Workers of Literature and Art of Sichuan and Jiangsu provinces, masters of opera, decorative and applied and acrobatic arts. In the course of reception of the PRC delegation in the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, consideration was given to the issues of furthering interaction of the two countries in different spheres of culture. In the Mukam Palace of the State Culture Centre of Turkmenistan, a solemn opening ceremony of Days of Culture of the People’s Republic of China in our country took place. In the welcoming speeches, special accent was placed on the significance of the present cultural event for strengthening peace and friendship, mutual enrichment of cultures and mutual understanding of two peoples, expansion of humanitarian dialogue. The official part of event was followed by the concert, the program of which included the performance of a soloist of the Beijing Opera and acrobatic troupe from the Celestial Empire. Within the framework of culture program, the exhibition of workers of Chinese photo artists was held; its significant part was devoted to the unique nature of the native land. Visitors of the exhibition also enjoyed the Chinese culture heritage - the over two-millennium-old Suzhou embroidery art. That same day, representatives of Chinese acrobatic art gave master classes in the State Circus of Turkmenistan. A closing part of Days of Culture of the People’s Republic of China in our country was a joint gala concert of workers of culture and art of the two countries, which took place on August 6 in the Mukam Palace of the State Culture Centre of Turkmenistan. A get-acquainted cultural program which was prepared for the guests included visits to the State History-Culture Preserve “Old Nisa”, museums of the capital, and other places of interest of Ashgabat.
