Videoconference meeting focuses on the social, economic and organizational issues

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a videoconference meeting with the participation of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers in charge of the agricultural sector, the heads of several ministries and departments. The meeting agenda includes priority tasks of the socio-economic development of the country, the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns, as well as a number of organizational issues. Prosecutor General, B. Atdaev reported on the current situation in the spheres under his supervision and the results of work on drafting proposals on the issues related to the citizenship and the act of pardon. The President emphasized that by tradition, convicted persons, who have sincerely acknowledged offence and are ready to start a new life, are pardoned on the eve of major public holidays. Signing the Decree on pardoning 868 convicted citizens on occasion of the 28th anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent the document to the Prosecutor General through the digital electronic document management system. The President of Turkmenistan instructed the heads of law enforcement agencies to ensure that the pardoned persons are released from detention in the near future and celebrate the holiday with their families and friends. In this regard, the khyakims of velayats, etraps and cities, as well as the heads of other organizations were instructed to take care of the employment of the pardoned citizens. Minister of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, M. Bayramdurdyev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaign. Commenting on the report, the President of Turkmenistan instructed the relevant officials to take necessary measures to hold the agro-industrial campaign at the appropriate level and on time. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, E. Orazgeldiev reported on the progress of cotton picking and winter grain sowing campaigns, as well as the ongoing measures taken to accelerate the paces of works in the regions of the country. The President of Turkmenistan instructed the relevant officials to keep the implementation of the campaign at the high level and in accordance with agricultural standards and gave specific instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister. Addressing Deputy Prime Minister E. Orazgeldiev, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov announced his decision to temporarily dismiss A. Yazmyradov from the post of the Chairman of the State Committee for Water Management. Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Water Management, J.Sedekov was appointed as the Acting Chairman of the State Committee for Water Management. Wishing him success in his work, the President of Turkmenistan focused on the priority areas of work of this structure. Signing the document, the President of Turkmenistan sent it Prime Minister E. Orazgeldiev through the electronic document management system. In conclusion, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished the meeting participants success in their work.
