On April 30, the military-tactical exercises - “Watan gerçegi” were held at the “Kelyata” Training Center of the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan. The servicemen, who had been successfully trained in shooting in the structures of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, demonstrated high military proficiency. The national army’s combat capacities and defense capability are steadily enhanced in the epoch of power and happiness thanks to the efforts of President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov. In accordance with the Military Defensive Doctrine, the country’s Armed Forces have become the perfect school for training highly-qualified military specialists, capable to act proficiently on land, in air and maritime space. The aim of the military-tactical exercises is to increase the degree of professionalism of servicemen, capacities and defensive capability of the national army, which serves exclusively peaceful purposes. Over recent years, rocket and artillery troops of the country have been provided with a powerful weapon through the implementation of the large-scale transformative reforms in the military sphere, initiated by the nation’s leader. Today highly efficient rocket systems “Tornado”, “Hail”, “Hurricane”, modern combat vehicles, mechanized artillery, howitzers and mine detectors are at their disposal. The personnel of the Engineering Troops of the Armed Forces of the country took part in the military-tactical exercises “Watan gerçegi”. The first-priority mission assigned to the servicemen was to build a bridge for tanks, as well as a minefield, which they successfully accomplished. Tankers also demonstrated their skills, controlling T-90 tanks, which showed their capability to move and maneuver in any difficult conditions. The personnel of the State Border Service of Turkmenistan also participated in the tactical exercises. On armored vehicles, the border guards got involved in the military dispositions of troops. After attaining the objective, the fire was brought down from weapons mounted on the vehicles and other military equipment. In accordance with the objectives of the military-tactical exercises “Watan gerçegi”, the air forces and special assault troops of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan, as well as special operations groups of the country’s Ministry of National Security and Ministry of the Interior demonstrated their professional skill and ability to neutralize and annihilate raiding groups. In the course of the annual military-tactical exercises, the special operations groups timely and efficiently performed the tactical mission assigned, having demonstrated once again their ability to decisively repulse raiding groups. Thus, the Armed Forces of our country honorably performed the task, having demonstrated a high level of combat training of all types of troops, and professional training of the servicemen. At the end of the military tactical exercises, the participants swore allegiance to the sacred military duty and military oath, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed forces of Turkmenistan, General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, the independent Motherland and the entire Turkmen nation.
