Turkmen wrestlers won 9 medals in the final days of competitions at the World Martial Arts Games, which united more than 4,000 sportsmen from 100 countries, in Chungju, the Republic of Korea. Fights in sambo and combat sambo disciplines, which were held in September 4, have brought five medals, three gold, to the collection of National team. Military personnel of the Central Sport Club of the Ministry of Defence Guvanch Begaliyev (90 kg), serviceman of the State Customs Service Gul’nar Hayitbayeva 962 kg) and employee of the Ministry of Interior Charymurad Annakurbanov (more than 90 kg) were the absolute winners in their weight categories. 3rd grade student of Turkmen State Architectural and Construction Institute Jamal Hojakuliyeva (52 kg) is the winner of silver medal of the Games while platoon commander of cadet battalion of the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defence Rustem Pendjyev won bronze medal in the weight category of 82 kg. On September 5, 5th grade student of Turkmen State Institute of Physical Training and Sports Abdulla Babayev had nobody equal to him in the weight category of 68 kg and won the gold. Coach of sport school no. 1 in Dashoguz Javlanbek Madaminov (90 kg) and his colleague from sport school no. 1 Dyanew etrap, Lebap Velayat Dinara Ivadullayeva (48 kg) had very little to the gold, having lost in final fights. Silver medals of the World Martial Arts Games in the Republic of Korea are their result. 3rd grade student of Turkmen State Institute of Physical Training and Sports Begench Baltayev won the bronze in the weight category of 74 kg. The World Martial Arts Games in Chungju, the Republic of Korea are completed and the result of performance of Turkmenistan national team at this prestige competitions cannot help pleasing – 25 different medals including 9 bronze.
