Early last week, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted the meeting with the head of the foreign-policy Office of State of Qatar Haled ben Mohammed Al Atiya, who arrived in our country on a working visit. In the course of the ministerial negotiations and exchange of opinions on the state and prospects of the successfully developing bilateral cooperation based on the principles of reciprocal interests and the two friendly countries’ priorities of socioeconomic development, the significance was stressed of activating the joint activity of the Intergovernmental Commission for trade-economic cooperation. Touching upon the subject of intensifying relations in the cultural-humanitarian sphere, the meeting participants gave consideration to the issues of interchanging Culture Days in Turkmenistan and Qatar and expanding the two countries’ collaboration in sports. In the course of his visit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of State Qatar had a meeting with the student of the International Relations Institute of the MFA of Turkmenistan.
