Late last week, the Technologies Centre of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan hosted an International conference “Science, engineering and innovative technologies in the epoch of powerand happiness” timed to Science Day widely marked in our country. The forum brought together in the Turkmen capital representatives from over 20 countries - the renowned scholars from Russia, Austria, Bulgaria, Republic of Korea, Japan, Belarus, and others, as well as the representatives of research institutions, specialized departments, academic staff and students of universities of our country and mass media. At the plenary session, the speakers noted that it had already become a good tradition for many of them to participate in the international conferences in the Turkmen land and conduct joint research works with the scholars of research institutions of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan (AST). A panel session devoted to new industrial and innovative technologies was held in the Technologies Centercentre; the ecology and biotechnology isues were discussed in the Magtymguly Turkmen State University; the Turkmen State Medical University hosted the workshop of the conference devoted to the innovative technologies in medicine and manufacture of medical preparations; the issues related to the development of humanities and international relations were also covered in scholars’papers delivered at the session in the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan. The forum agenda included also the meetings of the forum participant the academic staff and students of higher educational institutions of the capital, scholars and scientists of the AST institutes. Along with exchange of views at the panel sessions, the foreign guests of the forum got an opportunity to participate in different festivities and actions devoted to Science Day – the ceremony of awarding the winners of scientific competition among the young Turkmen scientists, a festive concert of workers of culture and art of Turkmenistan.
