Regional seminar on narcomania prevention

Ashgabat hosted a regional seminar devoted to the efficiency of the narcomania prevention national programs. Representatives of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan, as well as a UNODC expert Hanna Heykila (Austria) and the regional coordinator Nadim Rehman (Iran) came to the Turkmen capital to take part in the meeting which was organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). The seminar agenda included such issues, as an increase of efficiency of the narcomania prevention measures, adoption of the dovetailed measures developed by the society’s all groups concerned – from the families and schools to local public health establishments and representatives of law enforcement institutions.
