National Iran and Kyrgyz Republic teams are the opponents of Turkmenistan by the results of the drawing of Qualification Tournament of Asian Futsal Championship, which took place in the Headquarter of Asian Football Confederation. 32 teams, which are divided in four zones by geographic locations, will play in qualification round. Turkmenistan and its opponents have formed the B group in Centre and South zone. Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Nepal will compete in the A group. Matches of the Centre and South Group will take place in Iran in October 2019. Turkmen sportsmen will have their first match against 12-time Asian Championship, the team from Iran and will play against Kyrgyzstan in the second leg. Teams, which will take two first positions in their groups, will be qualified for the final part of the Asian Championship, which will be held in Ashgabat in 2020. Turkmenistan team has provided itself the place among 16 best teams as the host of coming tournament. Therefore, all teams of the B Group will have right to play in the final tournament regardless of the results of qualification. The matches of Asian Championship will take place in the Olympic village of the capital of Turkmenistan from February 27 to March 8, 2020. Based on the results, five best teams will have right to compete in the World Cup, which will be held in Lithuania the same year.
