President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulates Uzbek colleague Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his birthday

Today, President of Turkmenistan has had a telephone conversation with President of The Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Cordially greeting the colleague, the President of Turkmenistan congratulated the leader of Uzbekistan on his 62nd birthday and wished him good health, high spirits and success in all his ambitious endeavors. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined that the achievements of the internal and foreign policy of the friendly state were indissolubly related to the name of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. According to the President of Turkmenistan, the fruitful work of the President of Uzbekistan, his significant political experience and professionalism have won great respect and high authority not only in the Uzbek Republic but in foreign states as well. Turkmenistan highly evaluates the relations with fraternal Uzbekistan and attaches paramount importance to the further development of the interstate dialogue with the close neighbor and reliable partner. Thanking for the congratulations and kind words, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev expressed satisfaction with the progressive character of the bilateral cooperation on a wide spectrum of partnership. The President of Turkmenistan underlined that the foreign-policy strategy of our country prioritized cooperation with Uzbekistan. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in his turn, expressed believe in the success of the First Caspian Economic Forum to be held under initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The President of Turkmenistan and the President of Uzbekistan discussed the status and prospects of bilateral relations in the context of the implementation of the agreements reached earlier. The leaders of the two states expressed satisfaction with the effectiveness of the Turkmen-Uzbek cooperation, stipulated by the common interests and the strong political will to intensify partnership in all areas. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined that there were wide opportunities for enhancing cooperation between our states in all directions, implementing new ambitious projects with the aim to ensure the prosperity of the two fraternal states. The leaders of the two states also focused on the traditional relations in the cultural and humanitarian sphere. During the conversation, the heads of the two states exchanged views on the important issues of the regional and international agenda that are of particular interest for the two states. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed belief that the relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan would continue developing. Once again sincerely congratulating President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his birthday, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished him good health and success in his important work and the fraternal people of Uzbekistan – peace, prosperity and happiness.
