The Mejlis of Turkmenistan jointly with the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan, public organizations and the Ministry of Education held a scientific-practical conference that brought together the members of the parliament, party and public figures, scientists and political analysts, the representatives of labor groups, mass media, teachers and students of higher educational institutions. The forum ""The Constitution and the National Flag of Turkmenistan - the legal basis for the development of economy, society and state"" was held in three thematic sections. The first sections focused on the legal basis for the protection and observance of the rights and freedoms of a person and a citizen. Conference participants noted that the work on strengthening the legal foundations of the Turkmen state given the historical democratic values of our people, is carried out consistently and purposefully. The second section highlighted the role of the national legal system in the socio-economic development of Turkmenistan. Absorbing the best national and world practices of state structure, traditional national and universal values, the Constitution of Turkmenistan has accumulated the most important tasks of further development of the state, pursuing a socially oriented policy aimed at improving the wellbeing of the citizens. The reports and speeches presented during the third section were dedicated to the historical and political importance of the foreign policy initiatives put forward by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
