Independent neutral Turkmenistan marked the Day of Constitution and State Flag. The main events on occasion of remarkable date were held in the capital where flower laying ceremony to the Monument of Independence and the Main Flag of the country took place with the participation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The participants of the event included the members of the Government, leaders of the Mejlis, military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and departments, Hyakim of Ashgabat and heads of etrap administration of the capital and diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, elders, representative of public organizations, mass media, numerous residents and guests of the capital. Vehicle of the Head of the State came to decorated square in front of the Monument of Constitution. Everybody welcomed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the enthusiasm. Girls in national dress presented flowers to Turkmen leader. The Head of the State went by carpet path along the line of the Guards of Honour to special place at the square in front of the Monument of Constitution. National anthem of the country was played. Turkmen leader laid flowers to the Monument of Constitution, which embodies the sanctity of the foundations of democratic, temporary state and solidarity of Turkmen nation. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted in his greeting speech on occasion of remarkable holiday that the Main Law of the country and the State Flag flying in height are national heritage indicating glorious past, happy present and light future, which reflects our solidarity. After the President of Turkmenistan, members of the Government, deputies of the Mejlis, heads of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and departments as well as all participants of the events laid flowers to the Monument of Constitution. After flower laying ceremony to the Monument of Constitution, the events have moved to the square with 133-meter flagpole hoisting the Main Flag of Turkmenistan. Vehicle of the President arrived to the square in front of the flagpole. The participants greeted Turkmen leader. The culmination came and President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov put beautiful wreath to the podium of giant flagpole. Following the Head of the State, the Speaker and deputies of the Mejlis, deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers and other participants of the ceremony laid flowers. Our ancestors used to say that a man is recognized by education while the country by flag. It has special meaning. Due to peace-making policy of Turkmenistan and the course toward wide international cooperation, the flag of our country is recognized as a symbol of the state, which is committed to the principles of neutrality, peace and humanity. Today, Turkmenistan takes deserved place in the world community. We have an open way to happy future but we have to work hard to deserve it, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlights in his speeches. Hero of Turkmenistan, Prize Winner of Magtumguly Award Gozel Shaguliyeva was among the participants of current event. Having warmly greeted famous poet, the President expressed the interest how she is doing. Having noted that talented master glorifies the achievements of the country and success of Turkmen nation with high professionalism, the Head of the State expressed the gratitude to the poet for her work and wished her great success. Upon the completion of the ceremony, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said goodbye to the participants and left the place of event. Celebration events on occasion of the Day of Constitution and State Flag of Turkmenistan were held all over the country.
