According to Electoral Code, early voting in the elections of deputies of National Parliament, members of the People’s Councils and gengeshys starts in certain electoral districts in Turkmenistan on March 21. According to the above-mentioned code, the procedure is provided for the citizens who leaves for extended period to working trips or vacations or for those who is not able to come to polling station on the day of elections by some reason. Generally speaking about the course of election campaign, it is necessary to note an active work of all district electoral committees, which include representatives of labour groups, political parties and public organizations. The Central Committee for Elections and Referendums informed TDH that all stages of election campaign are organized on time according to existing national legislation and universal standards. All polling stations are ready for work. Monitoring of the elections is performed by national observers appointed by political parties, public organizations and candidates. Meetings with the candidates, during which the electorate is getting familiar with election programmes of the candidates, are continued. Therefore, the stage of early voting indicates the readiness to this social and political campaign.
