The initiative on the establishment of a central veterinary clinic that may become a foundation of an animal welfare organisation was put forward by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers and supported by the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, an active partner of the government of the country in the economic and social projects. Rysgal Joint-Stock Commercial Bank opened special account No. 23205934173865610135000 to raise funds. Not only businessmen can donate money to sponsor the veterinary center project, but also everyone who wishes to do so can contribute to this good cause. As of February 26, 220,105.00 manat were received on the bank account. This fact vividly testifies that the noble initiative, which will be financed by the government, is welcomed by the public. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted during the meeting that the implementation of the shaped plans would be of the spiritual and moral significance, contributing to bringing the younger generation in the spirit of mercy and humanity. The active work is carried out to implement the tasks set by the President of Turkmenistan. According to the project, the veterinary clinic will satisfy the modern requirements, recognized in the international practice. There will be a hospital for animals, where the owners will be able to leave their pets in case of need for the long-term treatment and special care. On the territory of the clinic, it is planned to equip a hotel for pets, where they can be placed, for example, during a business trip or vacation of the owners. The department of surgery, the department of internal medicine, the department of diagnostics and laboratories will be supplied with the most advanced equipment. In the future, it is planned to implement a project for the construction of a shelter, where animals are surrendered or brought in when their previous owners either cannot take care of them anymore or if they are found on the streets.
