Ice hockey tournament timed to the celebration of the International Neutrality Day is finished. Galkan and Watanchy teams have met in the final of the Cup of the President of Turkmenistan. Six sport clubs representing the ministries and departments of the country took part in the competitions. In the first round, the teams were divided into two groups, three teams in each, where the teams played for the qualification to the semi-final. Nesil Club was the winner of A Group, having taking over Shir in the first match with 5:3 score. In the following matches, both teams confidently took over Burgut and entered the semi-final. There was no equal team to the leading club of Turkmen ice hockey, multiple champion of the country Galkan, which had two confident victories over Oguzkhan (12:1) and Watanchy (13:6). The results of the match between two of these clubs defined the team qualified for the semi-final. It was Watanchy, which took over the opponent with 5:1score. The semi-final matches highlighted obvious advantage of the representatives of B Group. As it was expected, Galkan won Shir (13:1) and Watanchy took over 12:3 the leader of A Group Nesil, which in its turn, became the bronze winner of the tournament having won Shir 10:1 in the match for the third place. The match for the main trophy was the culmination of the tournament. Galkan took the lead from the first minutes finishing the period with 8:1 score. However, the players of Watanchy scored 3 goals to the opponent in the second period and reduced to two goals in the third period. However, the 9:6 victory and the Cup of the President of Turkmenistan was after Galkan Club. Dovlet Soyunov from the leading team was the best player of the tournament, having scored 11 goals and made two passes on goal.
