Turkmenistan banks grant preferential loans to private agricultural producers

The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution, according to which the authorized banks of Turkmenistan are allowed to allocate preferential loans to peasant associations, farms, agricultural joint-stock companies, agricultural research institutes, legal entities, tenants, private entrepreneurs-producers of agricultural products and non-state entities and persons for: for the purchase of agricultural equipment, machinery and tools, excavators and bulldozers, water-saving equipment, irrigation pipes at 1 percent per annum on an equal annual repayment based on their service life of 10 years; in order to finance the investment projects related to the development of livestock and poultry farming, processing and provision of services, as well as to acquire fixed assets and property at 5 percent per annum for a period of up to 10 years. The document prescribed to consider the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan No. 85 dated March 4, 2017 ""On the financial support of domestic producers of agricultural products"" be no longer in force.
