August 30 was the final day of Kursh wrestling competitions of the XVIII Summer Asian Games. The fights were held among the men in the weight category up to 90 kg and among the women in the weight category up to 78 kg. Maria Lobova has taken very good start in the 18 final. Clean win in the match against Indian wrestler was registered after two minute of the wrestling after successful throw by our girl. During the quarter final match with the representative of Chinese Taipei, M. Lohova has less points but later became more active and equalize the score. several seconds before the end of the fight, the referees gave one point to her opponent and Maria was not able to level up the lag. Our sportswoman is on the fifth position. Guvanch Begaliyev has demonstrated similar result. In the 1/8 fight against the wrestler from Philippines, it took him a bit more than one minute to take him over with effective throw in the back. The match for semi-final, as it was found out later against the leader of this Asian Games, was hard for both sportsmen. Our athletes was close several times to make final throw but he managed only to close the gap in score, which was not enough for the win.
