President of Turkmenistan holds a government meeting on sports

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov organized a special meeting of the Government to discuss the preparations for the important sports events to be held in the country. The representatives of the international organizations, the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, the velayat and Ashgabat Khyakimliks, the rectors of the higher educational institutions, newspaper and magazine editors, the heads of public and sports organizations among others attended the meeting held in the Olympic Village in Ashgabat. Minister of Internal Affairs I. Mullikov, Deputy Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Motor Sports Federation G. Agamyradov reported on the preparations for the “Amul-Hazar 2018” international motor rally. The preparatory works for the forthcoming 2018 Weightlifting World Championship to be held in Ashgabat and the events scheduled for June 3 that the United Nations Organization declared as the World Bicycle Day on the initiative of Turkmenistan were discussed during the meeting.
