The results of the creative contest ""Science - the engine of progress"" for the best popular science article on oil and gas issues, conducted by the newspaper ""Nebit-gaz"" with the support of the State Concerns ""Turkmengaz"" and ""Turkmenneft"", their foreign partners were summed up. Several dozens of materials were selected, telling about the scientific and technical policy of the Head of the state, the results of research in the field of exploration, geology, production, transportation, storage and refining of oil and gas, as well as modern technologies and the latest technical developments introduced in the domestic fuel and energy complex. Today in the building of the Scientific Research Institute of Natural Gas of the State Concern ""Turkmengaz"" the ceremony of honoring the winners of the competition took place with the participation of the editorial staff, oil and gas sector specialists and invited guests. As the speakers emphasized, one of the key aspects of Turkmenistan's economic strategy is the effective implementation of the huge resource, production and scientific and technical potential of the domestic fuel and energy complex. Along with the increase in oil and gas production and export volumes, the expansion of geological exploration to strengthen the industry's raw materials base, the accelerated industrial development of new promising fields, much attention is paid to the technical and technological re-equipment of energy sector enterprises, the creation of a modern infrastructure, science-intensive industries producing a wide range of oil- and gas chemical products. For each of these areas, significant progress has been made, which have become possible, thanks to the enormous attention paid to the development of science and education. Evidence of this - solid investment, directed to finance promising research, experimental and technological developments, strengthening the material and technical base of research institutes and higher education institutions. Then the solemn awarding of the winners of the contest carried out, which took three first, three second and three third places. Among them are the employees of the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of the country, the Natural Gas Research Institute of the State Concern ""Turkmengaz"", the State Corporation ""Turkmengeologia"", the Scientific Project Institute of the State Concern ""Turkmenneft"", the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of Turkmenistan, as well as the teachers and one of the students of the International University of Oil and gas. The event was concluded by a concert of masters of arts, pop singers - soloists of creative collectives of the cultural center of the oil and gas complex.
