Turkmenistan Taekwondo Champions are defined

Ashgabat hosted the country’s taekwondo championship (ITF). 18 sets of medals were contested in “fight” and “tuli” disciplines in seven weight categories. The competitions gathered together hundreds of the leading sportsmen of the capital and regions in men and women as well as perspective juniors. The team of Mary Velayat became the leader of the competitions having won 10 gold, 12 silver and 12 bronze medals. They are followed by the sportsmen from the capital with 4 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze medals. The best three is closed by taekwondo fighters from Balkan Velayat with 3 gold and 1 bronze medal. The first place in the weight category up to 57 kg was taken by Orazmyrat Chariyev and Annamyrat Goshaniyazov, whose sport carrier incudes the wins at the Asian and World championships. Goshaniyaz Durdiyev, triple Asian Champion and medallist of the world tournament, is the gold winner in the weight category up to 63 kg. In “tuli”, Gaygysyz Atabayev is the winner of men’s competitions while Altyn Gazayeva (up to 64 kg) is the best among the women.
