At the session of the Government, Chairperson of the Mejlis Gulshat Mammedova informed on the formation of structure and activity of National Parliament. It was mentioned that programme speech of the Head of the State at the first session of the Mejlis of new convocation defining the priority directions of the activity of legislative body of the country in the nearest future, became the guidance for new deputy corps. At present, development of the plan of law-making work as well as the activity for explanation of the importance of foreign initiatives of our state, social oriented home and large-scale reforms in the country are carried out. Plans of regular meetings of the deputies with the population are elaborated for studying the proposals and requests of the electorate. Having listened to the information, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted that systematic improvement of national legislation and regulatory framework is one of the key factors of stable social and economic development of Turkmenistan and consolidation of its democratic and legal base. In this regard, the attention of the Speaker of National Parliament was focused on the necessity to plan the work taking into account the priorities of the state development and universal standards of international law.
