Turkmenistan national team won three medals at the A. A. Harlampiyev Memorial World Sport and Combat Sambo Cup in Moscow. The silver was won by student of National Institute of Sport and Tourism of Turkmenistan Novruz Atayev in combat sambo in weight category up to 57 kg. Having taken over the sportsman from India in the semi-final, our sambo wrestler qualified to the final where he lost to Russian wrestler, the representative of country of origin of this sport. Another medal, the bronze, was also won by student of Institute of Sports Javlanbek Madaminov in combat sambo in the weight category up to 82 kg. In women’s, Maral Sultanova won the bronze in the weight category up to 62 kg. Turkmen sambo wrestlers regularly win the prizes of international tournaments including in such important competitions as the world championships and cups.
