The resident of Ashgabat Yusup Ismayilov (up to 52 kg) was awarded a silver medal on the first day of the Open Championship on sports and combat sambo for the prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus. In this weight category, athletes from Russia, Ukraine, Mongolia and the hosts of the tournament also claimed for prizes. The organizers of the tournament are the Ministry of Sport and Tourism of Belarus, the International Amateur Sambo Federation (FIAS), the Republican State and Public Association ""Presidential Sports Club"", the Minsk City Executive Committee, the National Olympic Committee and the Belarusian Sambo Federation. It should be noted that the teams of 10 states take part in the competitions. The national team of Turkmenistan is represented by 18 sportsmen. The tournament will last until February 18, so there is every reason to believe that the first medal won on the first day of the competitions will not be the last one.
